      History:

      South Greenwood was originally part of Pickering Township. To get an idea of what life was like for the first settlers to this area visit the Pickering Museum Village at 2365 6th Concession Road.

      Overview:

      South Greenwood is a small rural community located at the north end of Ajax sharing its north boundary with Pickering Township. The main landmark is the Greenwood Conservation Area. South Greenwood has a small community centre and public school. The main residential streets in the neighbourhood are Greenwood Road and Fielding Court which feature gated estate homes in a forested setting.

      South Greenwood has a small number of gated estate homes on multi-acreage lots. These homes are perched in a forested setting overlooking the Greenwood Conservation Area.
