Bram West
History:
The historic village of Churchill is located within the Bram West neighbourhood. This village setting, sited on the banks of the Credit River, allowed industry to flourish thanks to a complex of mills that were once powered by the Credit River. These mills were used to harvest the vast primordial forest that once blanketed this area. Churchill’s collection of historic buildings has earned it the distinction of being Brampton’s only Ontario Heritage Conservation District.
The vast farmland that once surrounded the village of Churchill, now comprise the present day Bram West neighbourhood which was developed in the early 2000s.
